Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz penne or fusilli pasta
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or deep skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped onion; sauté until fragrant (about 2 minutes).
  2. Stir in ground beef, cooking until browned (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Season the beef with dried thyme, oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper; mix well.
  4. Add pasta and beef broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes until pasta is al dente.
