  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 large sheets aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined and form into four equal patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté sliced mushrooms and onions until softened (about 5 minutes) then remove from heat.
  4. To assemble, place one patty on each sheet of foil. Top with sautéed mushrooms and onions followed by a slice of Swiss cheese.
  5. Seal the foil tightly around each burger to trap steam.
